It’s gonna be messy!

or “Why I’m Starting This Blog” inspired by Austin Kleon’s “Show Your Work!””

Hello everyone and welcome to my very first blog post!

I’m thrilled to embark on this new journey of sharing my thoughts, projects, processes and ideas with all of you. Starting a blog is something I’ve been contemplating for a while, and after reading Austin Kleon’s book “Show Your Work!” I finally found the inspiration and motivation I needed to take the plunge. In this post, I’d like to explain why I’m writing this blog by sharing what influenced my decision with the words of Austin. (Thanks, btw!)

Sharing Your Process
Kleon emphasizes that people are often more interested in how you do what you do rather than the final outcome, so I plan to document my journey and offer a behind-the-scenes look at my creative process. And there is a lot going on with me (and Playability) behind the curtains.

Finding Your Play-Tribe
This blog is my attempt to find my tribe, attracting readers who are passionate about similar things and engaging in meaningful discussions.

Building a Body of Work
By regularly posting content, I aim to create a rich repository of knowledge and experiences that I can look back on and that others can learn from. This might spark exchange and lead to new fellow Co-Players!

Spreading What I Know
Through this blog, I plan to share what I’ve learned (by my self and especially from others) to help others on their journeys into playfulness.

Staying Accountable
Writing a blog serves as a form of accountability, reminding me of my goals and pushing me to keep creating and improving.

Starting this blog is both an exciting and also nerve-wracking step for me. Inspired by many others I’m eager to share my journey with all of you (and hopefully stick with it!). Whether you’re a fellow player & facilitator, a curious reader, or someone looking for inspiration, I hope you find value in my posts.

Let’s embark on this adventure together, learn from each other, and show our work to the world!
Thank you for being here, and I can’t wait to share more with you in the coming posts.

Playful regards,
Matthias
