As a trainer and facilitator, my mission is to help people discover their playability – the powerful skill to use playfulness and playful approaches at work. This philosophy shapes not only my workshops but also my other venture like my Soon-To-Bee-YouTube channel, where I share tips, tricks, and insights on bringing more productivity, joy and creativity into professional settings. To do this effectively, I’ve transformed my office into a versatile studio, balancing functionality and creativity.
The Journey to YouTube
My journey into video production was driven by a desire to give back (and Austin Kleon’s Book: “Show Your Work!”). YouTube has been an invaluable resource for me, and I wanted to contribute to this community. Sharing my passion for playfulness at work is not only fulfilling but also crucial in the 21st century. By creating these videos, I aim to raise awareness about the importance of integrating play into professional environments, fostering creativity, and improving overall job satisfaction.
Keeping It Simple and Versatile
One of the key aspects of my studio is its simplicity and versatility. On filming days, my office transforms into a creative space, and on other days, it reverts to a functional workspace. This duality allows me to maintain productivity while also dedicating time to my passion for video creation.
Tips for Aspiring Content Co-Creators
If you're looking to set up a similar endeavor, here are a few tips I learned and try to implement:
Start Small: Begin with basic equipment. I started with just my camera, testing the waters before investing more.
Gradual Upgrades: Invest in additional equipment step by step. My special video equipment totaled around 1500 euros, accumulated over time.
Keep It Versatile: Ensure your setup can be easily switched between different functions to maintain productivity.

Creating engaging content requires more than just enthusiasm; it demands the right tools at the right time for the right budget. My studio setup includes:
Sony RX100 V: A compact yet powerful camera that simply captures high-quality video, perfect for my needs.
Mac Studio: The reasonable powerhouse behind my editing and production work. Btw I use Davinci Resolve Studio.
Totem Kin mini Speakers: Providing clear audio playback, essential for reviewing content (and listening to music - loud!).
Amaran 60d s COB Light: Ensuring my videos are well-lit and visually appealing.
Hollyland Lark M2: Incredibly versatile wireless microphones for almost every situation of recording.
Various Helpers and More: Stands to keep everything in place and maintain a professional setup, a dummy battery for the camera, Kables, some colored LED lights,…
This combination of equipment allows me to produce high-quality videos that resonate with my way of working and hopefully with my audience and spread the message of playability.
