From Chaos to Clarity: Transforming Feelings into Fuel for Success

I recently attended an eye-opening Emotional Assertiveness training by Magda Tabac, based on John Parr’s model. It was one of the best trainings I've had in a while.

I've written about similar insights before, but I must emphasize again how crucial this topic is for success and productivity in business while feeling good. #sweetspot

One key takeaway was that our emotions, when expressed authentically, are essential for a clear mind. This is incredibly useful at work!

John Parr’s model basically outlines four authentic emotions:

  • Happiness: Our default state of balance

  • Anger: The Get-Things-Done emotion

  • Fear: The Manage-the-Risk emotion

  • Sadness: The Let-Go emotion

As a playpreneur who generally feels good, I still experience sadness, fear, and anger. These emotions are beneficial, helping me stay productive and balanced throughout my workday. Below is my adapted model of John Parr’s concepts.

I visualize myself as a bouncing ball within the inner circle: calming down with sadness to let go of unchangeable things, managing risks for new venture and create learning situations with the ride dose of fear, and using anger for the energy boost to get things done. All these emotions lead me back to the balanced state of happiness.

A big shout-out to Magda’s training. I believe everyone, especially leaders, should experience it to reduce unnecessary drama.
